AVOIDANCE OF MARRIAGE BETWEEN TWO PARTNERS WHO ARE BOTH THALASSEMIA MINOR will be the PRIME GOAL of the organization.
COMPULSORY DETECTION by LAW

The government can be impressed upon and prevailed over to make it mandatory to have Thal minor status detected before marriage.


For Those are already Married

With normal / no children ....to have the test done of both the partners before planning for pregnancy. If both are Thal minor, then to undergo Ante-natal dectection in foetus at 12 weeks of pregnancy. (with help from the gynaecologists)

With Thal Major child.....to undergo Ante-natal detection in all further pregnancies.


Mass Awareness:-
There is a need to launch a campaign to create mass awareness in the society regarding this dreaded disease, knowledge of which is woefully lacking and only a fraction of the population knowing about it. It could be by various means such as

Comprehensive Transfusion Centre.

Iron Chelation supply of infusion pumps, cheaper Dysferral injections.

Bone Marrow Transplation facilities....at more centers, highly subsidized with govt. financial support.
